A recent visit to the Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku provided valuable insight into the significant challenges involved in maintaining and improving road infrastructure across one of Western Australia’s most remote Local Governments.

The Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku has adopted its 2026/27 Annual Budget, setting the direction for the delivery of essential services, infrastructure maintenance and community priorities across the Ngaanyatjarra Lands.

Please note the Shire Office will be closed on Monday 1 June 2026 for WA Day public holiday. Office will reopen on Tuesday 2nd June 2026 at 8:30am

The Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku has entered into a new partnership with CouncilFirst as its enterprise resource planning (ERP) provider.

The Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku has been recognised as one of Western Australia’s top 20 councils for best practice financial management, reflecting strong governance and accountability for our community.
