Ready for something beyond the ordinary? The Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku is seeking a skilled, hands-on Building/Property Maintenance Officer to support remote operations in Warburton, Western Australia.

Working solo during your swing on a 2-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off roster, you’ll maintain vital community infrastructure in the heart of the Central Desert. With self-contained accommodation, this role suits someone independent, adaptable, and comfortable with remote living - including the occasional flight delay or last-minute change. Surrounded by the rich culture and striking landscapes of the Ngaanyatjarra Lands, this is more than just a job - it’s an experience!

Your work will cover general building maintenance, waste collection and transport, operating plant and vehicles, coordinating minor works, and supporting asset upkeep. You’ll need solid maintenance experience, preferably with a trade background, basic machinery skills, an LR licence with off-road experience, and strong initiative and cultural awareness. Warburton is an alcohol-restricted community, and compliance with this is essential.
